I had lots of free airfare tickets from Southwest Airlines that were about to expire. So Catherine and I took vacation time and went to see Washington DC at Christmas. I have been to Washington DC many times on business and for pleasure and Catherine visited there once without me, but we had never been there together.

This memorial inside the Union Station in Washington DC includes the name of my Uncle Ernest L. Russ. I knew him as Uncle Rascal. His name is third on the far right hand column.

I went to Washington, D.C for a quick business trip.

The first night I was in Washington was a rainy night, but I was still able to take these shots.

The first night I was in Washington, D.C., I went to 7th Street Norhtwest to have dinner.  It was a very busy district at night with a wide selection of restaurants. 

The Chinatown gate is also on 7th Street.
