Sausalito, California
Today my wife and I went to San Francisco and drove across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, which is just North of San Francisco, for lunch.
Picture ENLARGE if you click on them.
Perhaps you have heard the song "(Sittin' On) the Dock of the Bay". It was written by Otis Redding while he lived on a houseboat in Sausalito.
This park, Viña del Mar, is located in the middle of Bridgeway Street, and was recently re-opened to the public. The elephants, which at the entrance, and the fountain came from the Panama-Pacific Exposition (San Francisco) in 1915.
A variety of restaurants, cafes and coffee shops are also located throughout this area.

Hi John,
It was great to see Sausalito again, with your eyes. Thanks for sharing. It's amazing to see that the places look almost the same, as when we were there for the first time in 1982. Photos at: http://blogtrotta80s.blogspot.com/2006/07/exploring-california-august-1982.html
The only problem is that we looked 25 years younger...
We got back in the nineties, and I'll be posting some photos in the Revival 90's soon, but yours look great. Even Scoma's looks the same (price, food and service...)
All the best
Gil
Gil,
The two of you look pretty good, then and now, to me.
Things are not quite as hectic at work this week, so I will try to post more pictures from other trips weekend. Most of them I have to scan in and it takes a little time.
I hope you have a great week.
John
I was just listening to that song a couple of days ago on the radio. It was nice to have some pictures to relate to it. You and your wife do have some fun together that's great.
Im jealous, i`d like to go there
