I went to Washington, D.C for a quick business trip.

Washington Monument

The first night I was in Washington was a rainy night, but I was still able to take these shots.

Lincoln Memorial

The sculptor of the main statue of Abraham Lincoln inside the Lincoln Memorial was Daniel Chester French.

The Washington Monument reflecting in the reflecting pool.

"The [photos] of the Washington Monument with flags in a circle blowing and the view of it reflecting in the pool taken from the Lincoln Memorial bring back vividly the feel of that night time walk out to see Mr. Lincoln - the light rain, chilly crisp wind, bare-branched trees shimmering with dripping rain, dark welcoming paths through history hosting only a handful of people."  EDF

The World War II Memorial commemorates the sacrifice and celebrates the victory of "the greatest generation."

The first night I was in Washington, D.C., I went to 7th Street Norhtwest to have dinner.  It was a very busy district at night with a wide selection of restaurants.

The Chinatown gate is also on 7th Street.
