Murten, Switzerland - Part II
The pictures ENLARGE if you click on them. A town wall that encircles the town provided protection. The almost entirely preserved wall, the only one in Switzerland which you can walk all the way round, has offered visitors a great view of the nearby lake and the roofs of the Old Town.
The medieval town of Murten on the south-east bank of the Lake Morat has preserved its original appearance, with the alleyways of the Old Town and the shady arcades. In the evening, you can watch the sunset over the lake, with great views of Mont Vully and the Jura.

I adore Switzerland!
That looks like a good size dinner. How fortunate you are to travel as you do.
Hi John,
Love your Murten's pictures! I also showed some at the post Swiss Countryside, but these are nicer!
Would love to have your comments...
Take care
Gil
