After Catherine and I left Jackson, Wyoming we continued our drive to Grand Teton National Park on our way to Yellowstone.
Grand Teton National Park is a National Park located in western Wyoming, south of Yellowstone National Park. The park is named after Grand Teton, which at 13,770 feet, is the tallest mountain in the Teton Range.
The Teton Range is part of the Rocky Mountains and rises directly from the floor of Jackson Hole without any intervening foothills. Jackson Hole is a 55 mile long by 6 to 13 mile wide valley that has an average elevation of 6,800 feet.
There were lots of buffalo (American Bison) were walking along the roadway and seemed undisturbed by the presence of cars.

It's hard to see, but there are elk in this photo.
Lupine flowers blooming in a field along the side of the road.
