Catherine and I flew to San Diego for vacation this year. Flowers were blooming all across town.

We also had great food, especially Mexican food while in San Diego.

We stayed at the Sofia Hotel, a really nice hotel downtown San Diego. This is the former Pickwick Hotel that has been completely renovated.

Our room at the Sofia Hotel had a refrigerator and microwave oven. With the refrigerator we were able to walk to the local grocery store downtown San Diego for breakfast and snack items.

When we were driving around San Diego we saw the Olympic flame for the Special Olympics being held in San Diego.

We had great food in San Diego, including this meal at the "Rockin' Baja Lobster" restaurant.

We loved the flowers that were blooming all around San Diego. I have always heard people talk about the great weather in San Diego. While we were there the weather was perfect for us, not cold and not too hot.
