San Diego - Point Loma

That's the Cabrillo National Monument in the background.

In 1542 Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo (João Rodrigues Cabrilho) of Portugal, was the first European to set foot on what is now the West Coast of the United States.

We saw beautiful flowers all around San Diego.


Point Loma is a peninsula bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean and by the San Diego Bay on the east.

San Diego, California - Part II

San Diego's Santa Fe Depot is currently an Amtrak train station and is also used as a stop for San Diego Trolley's Light Rail Vehicles.


Lots of flowers were blooming in San Diego while we were there.

We had great meals in San Diego including very good seafood meals.


We had a nice seafood meal at "The Fish Market" restaurant on San Diego's Embarcadero.


This is a Statue named “Unconditional Surrender” and is based on a famous photo of a Sailor kissing a Nurse that was published in Life magazine at the end of WW II.

San Diego has long been a Navy town. This is a monument to United States Naval Admiral Sprague.
